Telangana’s chief minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has announced a budget of Rs. 110 crores to develop Ranganayasagar into an attractive tourism spot. The work has already started with strengthening the road connectivity. There was once a time when the lakes in the city were used to be filled only when it rained but now the lakes are brimming with water 24*7 after the Mission Kakatiya scheme. Due to certain measures, Ranganayasagar is also able to meet the irrigation and agricultural requirements, thus attracting tourists in handsome numbers.
